The deputy assistant of the USA secretary of state for Europe and Eurasia Mathew Bryza who paid a visit to Cyprus this week presented his responsibilities at the press conference in Nicosia.
Answering the question about the schedule of the working meetings of American diplomat, Bryza said I am an American mediator for the settlement of several conflicts, particularly in Nagorno-Karabakh and South Osetia. In the State Department, I am involved in assisting Europe in diversifying the energy resources. Besides, I am responsible for South Caucasian countries and engage in other several works related to compatibility of Islam and democracy, Medimaks reports.
