The Head of the Japanese Fuji Optical Company, Dr. Kanai, was awarded the prize Nansen Refugee Award for his gratuitous humanitarian assistance to the Azerbaijani refugees, Trend reports with reference to the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The presentation ceremony was held at the Headquarters of the U.N. High Commissariat. A film depicting the activities of the Company in Azerbaijan was shown at the Ceremony. Since 2004, Fuji Optical Company has provided 8,179 internally displaced persons with optical eye-glasses.
