For the French Parliament to adopt a law that will envisage a criminal responsibility for its denial of the Armenian Genocide will affect not only this Country`s relations with Turkey, but also with Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani MP Gultakin Hajiyeva stated, Trend reports.
She is convinced that this would prejudice France`s unbiased position as one of the Co-Chairs of OSCE Minsk Group in the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh. If France adopts this law, Azerbaijan will have to review the OSCE`s format.
Mrs. Hajiyeva sees this approach as an aspect of intercivilization relations in which France will also impede Turkey's plans to join the EU. This is connected with the growing religious and ethnic radicalism in France.
