ICRC Representatives Met with Azeri Soldier Kept in Captivity in Yerevan

The representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met with the Azerbaijan soldier, Samir Mammadov, who is kept in the Armenian captivity, in Yerevan on 10 January, Trend reports quoting the ICRC Baku office. It is the fifth meeting of the ICRC representatives with Mammadov. They got familiarized with the detention conditions and health state of Mammadov and gave him the letter from his family. It is the third letter from his family.

The soldier of military unit in Gazakh district of Azerbaijan was taken as prisoner by Armenia on 24 December due to the unknown reasons.

According to the information obtained by the ICRC Baku office, on January 9, the representatives of the ICRC Nagorno-Karabakh office met with the Azerbaijan soldier, Eldaniz Nuriyev, who is kept in the Armenian captivity.

It was the third meeting with Nuriyev. They were interested in the detention conditions and health state of Nuriyev. The soldier of military unit N located in Fizuli was taken prisoner by Armenia on December 31 due to unknown reasons.

According to the initial version of the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry, both soldiers lost their way and were taken prisoners by Armenian side.
