Bernard Fassier, the French Co-Chairman of OSCE Minsk Group, engaged in peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, informed journalists in Nagorno-Karabakh that the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict should be resolved only peacefully. According to him, the Karabakh issue could not be settled militarily. It is necessary to prepare for peace, and state about the peace, not war, he said.

Answering the question concerning the EU intention to directly work with Nagorno-Karabakh, Mr. Fassier said that USA, Russia, and France within OSCE are currently doing their best by means of negotiations to help the parties of the conflict to reach a peaceful resolution of the issue, Trend reports referring to News-Armenia.

On the whole, EU has other means and instruments in solving such issues, for example, the EU Neighbourhood Policy. EU can help the process of resolution, but it does not take part in the negotiations, said the OSCE French Co-Chairman.
