A Rally to Be Organized in Strasburg on Occasion of 15th Anniversary of Armenians’ Occupying an Ancient Azerbaijani Town
Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. I. Alizadeh/ Rauf Zeyni, the Chairman of the Strasburg Diaspora Centre, has said in baku today that a forum of protest and rally are expected to be held under the organization and sponsorship of the World Congress of Azerbaijanis and "The Azerbaijani House" in Strasburg on May 5, 2007 on the occasion due to the 15th anniversary since the day when the ancient Azerbaijani Town of Shusha was occupied by Armenian Forces.
According to him, during the forthcoming forum, the new so-called "general plan" of Shusha prepared by Armenians is expected to be discussed as well. Due to this issues, participants of the forthcoming forum and rally will make an appeal to international organizations.
Notably, Armenia has occupied 20% of the Azerbaijani lands including Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven Districts of the country surrounding it. Since 1992 and up to date, all these territories have been under the occupation of Armenian Forces. In 1994, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed cease-fire agreement that put an end to active battles and hostilities in the region.
