Heroin Discovered in Operated Iranian Citizen’s Stomach in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend K.Zarbaliyeva / Heroin was discovered in the stomach of the operated Iranian citizen in Azerbaijan's city of Ganja. The Iranian citizen who came to Azerbaijan several days ago stayed with his familiar, a source at Ganja Prosecutor's Office reported to Trend. Whilst eating, Iranian citizen's stomach grasped and he was operated on in the hospital. However, it was failure to save his life. During operation, nearly 70g of narcotic substances packaged in 70 capsules was discovered in deceased Iranian citizen's stomach. The Prosecutor's Office stated that probably the discovered powder is heroin. The powder was sent to the laboratory to exactly determine the type of the narcotic substance. A criminal case has been filed according to the article 234.4 (Acquiring, keeping and transporting drugs in large volumes) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan. According to the initial information, the death took place due to poisoning. The personality of the Iranian citizen was not reported.
