Body of Azerbaijani Killed by Explosion in Moscow Cafe to be Brought to Azerbaijan Today
Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 September / Trend corr. R.Novruzov/ The health condition of five Azerbaijanis who sustained injures during an explosion in Moscow is semiserious, and of two is serious, Chairman of the Moscow Office of the Russian Azerbaijanis Congress Ilgar Hajiyev said to Trend in a telephone conversation on 5 September.
"A homemade bomb exploded in a cafe at a funeral banquet. One Azerbaijani (Huseyn Akbar Karimov, 53) died. His body will be brought to Azerbaijan today," Hajiyev said.
According to Hajiyev, law-enforcement bodies are investigating the incident.
The explosion took place in a Moscow cafe in the 25 General Belov Street on 4 September at about 10.00pm. The power of the explosive was 400 gm of TNT equivalent, a source at the Moscow law-enforcement bodies told RIA Novosti on 5 September.
The bomb included bolts and screw-nuts. The criminal is supposed to have brought the bomb into the cafe in a portfolio or borsetta and put it at a table, the source said.
