As a result of an accident in a newly built administrative building of the International Bank of Azerbaijan one of the workers died.
An elevator envisaged for conducting facade works, was broke and fell from the fourth floor of the building, which is under construction, Nizami District Prosecutor's Office said.
The workers - 28-year-old Vladimir Salihov and 46-year-old Ali Mirahmedov, who was in the elevator at this moment, fell from the fourth floor to the basement of the building.
Mirahmedov died on the spot and Salihov was seriously injured and hospitalized in the Central Clinical Hospital.
In fact, Nasimi District Prosecutor's Office started the investigation under the Article 162.2 (violation of labour safety rules, which negligently caused human death) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
