Azerbaijani Supreme Court's judge Tapdig Mahmudov's wife Natavan Mahmudova was killed in her apartment with his special cruelty.
The incident took place today at about 13:00 at 47, Chobanzade st., flat 30, the Nizami District Prosecutor's Office said.
The 39-year-old Natavan Mahmudova was killed by unknown individuals.
A criminal case has been filed. Employees of the Baku Prosecutor's Office and Nizami District Prosecutor's Office are at the scene.
Eldar Rahimov, Nizami District Assistant Attorney, told Trend that according to the preliminary conclusion of forensic expertise, she was killed as a result of suffocation (asphyxia).
Rahimov said that the criminal case was filed under Article 120 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code.
According to the information, Mahmudova was in housecoat. She opened the door to her acquaintances. The murder was committed by Mahmudova's close acquaintances.
