Torrential rains caused floods in the Iranian provinces of Kerman and Fars, the MEHR news agency reported.

The natural disaster killed three people in the Fars province and two people went missing here. Floods in the Kerman province killed three people.

Torrential rains flooded 4 cities and towns, as well as 116 villages over the past three days, Kerman province Red Crescent Society Director Kavus Mahmoudi told the IRNA news agency.

According to him, food, blankets and tents have been delivered to the affected villages and assistance provided to people is underway.

According to the official website of the Iranian television iribnews.ir, floods in the Kerman province have caused the complete destruction of 1,300 houses and caused damage to 2,000 homes in the Rigan city.
