Automobile traffic between Western Georgia and Eastern Georgia has been interrupted, the Economy Ministry's Motorways Department reported. This has occurred because of a heavy snowfall in the area of Gorge Rikoti that temporarily closed a tunnel linking Western Georgia to Eastern Georgia.
Bypass road is also out of operation as it is full of snowdrifts. Heavy snowfall in that area goes on.
Currently, the Department mobilizes its all snow-removal heavy machines to clean the roads.
The Department thinks cleaning of the roads will take several hours.
