A bus lost control and drove into the glass enclosure of Shafa stadium, located on Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Baku on Saturday, witnesses of the accident said.
Police department of Nizami district confirmed the information, reporting that there are injured as a result of an accident. Their number is being specified.
According to preliminary information, the high speed caused the accident. The bus N11 crashed into a traffic light, and then drove into the glass enclosure of Shafa stadium, striking a parked Toyota Prado car, witnesses said.
Six people have suffered as a result of the accident, Baku ambulance told Trend.
Ambulances and traffic police are working at the scene.
One of the victims is the driver of Toyota Prado, Trend correspondent reported from the scene. All the victims were taken to hospitals.
According to the preliminary version, a passenger bus lost control hit the "Gazelle", then traffic lights and Toyota Prado and drove into the glass enclosure of Shafa Stadium, a traffic police inspector Mushtaba Hamidov told Trend on the scene.
According to updated reports 8 people were injured as a result of the accident, Baku ambulance station told Trend. All the victims were taken to Sabunchu hospital N3. Their condition is assessed as moderate.
Nizami district police are investigating the accident.
