Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 20 / Trend A.Taghiyeva /

An army of the Kurdish autonomy has recently opened fire on the Iraqi Air Force helicopter, Al-Ittihad newspaper said today.

Deputy minister for Kurdish military affairs Anwar Osman said that a shot in the direction of the Iraqi helicopter, flying over the territory of autonomy, was a warning that next time the Kurdish army will conduct tougher actions.

Clashes between Iraqi government forces and armed groups of Kurdish autonomy this night left 12 Iraqi army soldiers and one civilian dead.

The clashes took place near the Tikrit town, which is under the control of the central government, due to the Kurdish administration head Masoud Barzani's order not to allow the central government's troops into the autonomy territory.
