An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale took place in the Ula district of Mugla province, the "Hürriyet" newspaper reported on Thursday.

According to the report, no casualties or damages are reported yet.

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale occurred in Bilek area of the Turkish province of Mus on Wednesday.

Turkey is located in a seismically active area where earthquakes often occur. The strongest fluctuations in the earth's crust in the country were fixed in the Marmara Sea in 1999. The magnitude of tremors was 7.4 and 18,000 people were killed in the resulting earthquake.
