Fourteen people died in two separate incidents in the restive westernmost region of China, reports said Saturday, dpa reported.
Three people were killed and two injured in three explosions at an ethnic Uighur town in the Xinjiang region, state media reported.
Two explosions killed one person and injured two at a market and hair salon in Xinhe county town of Aksu prefecture, Xinhua news agency said.
Two others died inside a car that exploded when police were trying to apprehend it, Xinhua said.
Police arrested three suspects shortly after the explosions, about 250 kilometers from the mountainous border with Kyrgyzstan.
