The earthquake that hit Azerbaijan was also felt in the Iranian province of Gilan, including the border area of Astara, Iranian news agency IRİNN reported Feb. 10.

The earthquake's force in the Gilan Province was 5.5 on the Richter scale.

There were no casualties or damage.

An earthquake hit the Azerbaijani capital of Baku today at 16:06 local time. The tremors were felt not only in the capital but also in the city of Sumgait.

The earthquake was also felt in northern and southern districts of the country.

Its epicenter was located in the territory of Hajigabul district at a depth of 55 kilometers.

There were no casualties or damage.
