Iranian Friday prayer leader escapes attempt on life

The interim Friday prayers leader of Bazman city located in Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan has escaped harm in an assassination attack outside his house, IRNA News Agency reported on Feb. 16.
Unknown gunmen opened fire on Abdolmajid Jahangiri's house late on Friday.
Jahangiri had urged for boosting unity among the region's people in order to create permanent security in the region.
Last week 5 Iranian soldiers were kidnapped in Sistan and Baluchestan by terrorist group Jaish al-Adl.
