An explosion occurred in a multi-storey residential building in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku on Oct. 8, according to the website of the Emergency Situations Ministry of Azerbaijan.
The explosion occurred on the ground floor of the multi-storey building in the Bilajari township of Baku's Binagadi district, the ministry said.
Rescue teams were immediately sent to the disaster site.
One person was killed in the explosion. Reportedly, his dead body was found under the rubble, while four other people, injured in the explosion, were taken to emergency medical care.
Currently, work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the explosion.
