Azerbaijan's State Oil Company (SOCAR) said Nov. 1 that it found the dead body of the person, missing after the accident that took place Oct. 23 at the offshore platform #441 of the Narimanovneft oil and gas production department.

SOCAR said in its message that the dead body of Abdulhasan Huseynov was found at 09:00 (UTC/GMT +4 hours) on the seabed by the divers of SOCAR and the Emergency Situations Ministry.

Earlier, the dead bodies of 3 missing workers were found 2 kilometers away from the accident site.

The accident killed Faig Badalov, born 1971, Ilkin Nabizade, born 1969, Rovshan Ibrahimkhalilov, born 1956, and Abdulhasan Huseynov, born 1961.

Structures collapsed at the faulty platform #441 of the Narimanovneft oil and gas production department during repair works there on Oct. 23 at 12:00.

As a result, a workers' locker room on the platform fell onto a gas pipeline with a diameter of 700 millimeters, damaging it and causing a fire. Some 45 minutes later the fire was extinguished.

About 41 people were working at the site when the structures collapsed.

As a result of operative measures taken by a rescue brigade immediately after the accident, 37 people were evacuated from the scene to the shore on Orion-15 and PSK-52 vessels.

The injured workers were treated by the doctors.
