Over January the employees of the Azerbaijani State Border Service (SBS) detained 34 wanted people, the press service of STS told Trend .
Border guards also seized 1 Parabellum gun, 15 cartridges of 9mm calibre, 1 RGD-5 grenade with detonator, 30 cartridges of 5.45mm calibre, 1 armour-piercer, 22.1 grams of heroin, 2.3 grams of pium and 1.1 grams of marijuana.
Border guards averted 19 border violations, which caused detaintion of 12 Georgian citizens, 3 Azerbaijanis and 2 Iranians. 37 Azerbaijanis were detained for violation of border regime.
6 Uzbeks, 4 Kyrgyzs, 1 Azerbaijani, 1 Pakistani, 1 Moldavanian and 1 Iranian were detained for forged documents. 2 Azerbaijanis, 2 Russians, 1 Pakistani and 1 Georgian were detained for use of document belonging to other people. Besides, 62 foreigners were detained for lack of appropriate documents.
SBS prevented illegal transportation of $7,000, 190,000 Iranian rials, 740 boxes of sigaretes, 74 satelites, 23 rolles of textile.
