Azerbaijani scientists have made a new invention in forecast of earthquakes, Trend reports quoting Karim Karimov, the President of the Azerbaijani National Geophysics Committee, also a corresponding member of the National Acedemy of Sciences.
According to Karimov, Azerbaijani scientists under his management have developed this invention first in the world. It is possible to determine earthquake beforehand through the MTL station. MTL is a geological device envisaged for study of structure and composition of
the Earth, particularly, tectonics in Azerbaijan, he added.
Karimov said 5 stations were necessary to be build to forecast earthquake in Azerbaijan. The same time 2 of them will locate in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (AR), 3 - Baku and surrounding regions. It is possible to record electromagnet processes and forecast probability of earthquake, he underlined.
The scientist also noted this invention is able to forecast 5-6-point earthquake 2 or 3 hours prior to a disaster. Study of ooporunities of the invention requires $250,000. China agreed to sell equipment for the stations at low price after familiarization with our device, Karimov stated. He said the invention was registered by the State Agency on Standardization, Metrology and Patent and Avrasia Patent Agency.
