A strong wind that began blowing yesterday at 02.00 a. m. caused a serious damage to Barda District of Azerbaijan. The wind tore electric power and telecommunication lines, broke trees, tore away roofs from trade and sale points and homes. The region was left without electricity for 15 hours. Natig Hajiyev, the First Deputy Head of the Executive Power of Barda District of Azerbaijan informed Trend Regional Correspondent that the damage caused to the district is being calculated, and certain measures are being taken due to this. Supplying the region with electricity is expected to be resumed tomorrow evening.
