Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr E. Huseynli / A homicide was committed in Gobustan Prison on 16 June at approximately 12 am local time, the Prosecutor of the region of Garadagh, Tariel Gurbanov, reported.
According to Gurbanov, Rashad Arif oghlu Jafarov, sentenced to life imprisonment and serving his sentence in Gobustan closed prison intentionally killed his cell-mate, Famil Mobil oglu Mirzayev.
A criminal case has been filed in compliance with Article 120.1 (calculated homicide) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan Republic at Garadagh Region Prosecutor's Office. An investigation is underway.
