Azerbaijan Hopes for Peaceful Solution of Situation in Georgia: Foreign Ministry’s Press-Secretary
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Agayeva / Azerbaijan supports a peaceful solution to the situation which occurred in Georgia within the framework of peace and national interests of the country.
" Baku hopes the recent events that occurred in Georgia will not negatively affect Azerbaijani-Georgian bilateral relations," Khazar Ibrahim, the press-secretary of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, said on 2 October.
Irakli Okruashvili, the head of the Movement for United Georgia, was arrested in Georgia.
Okruashvili accused the Georgian President with corruption and crimes.
The Georgian President, Michael Saakashvili, denied all accusations made against him. "First of all I would like to say that it is difficult for me for what Okruashvili did. I used to hear similar accusations against me and people around me but Okruashvili knows this time all accusations are not right," the President said to journalists.
The main principle of his life is to struggle against nepotism so nobody can misappropriate millions from the government.
