President of  Azerbaijan Calls on Countries of  Adriatic Sea for Energy Co-operation

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend A.Ismaylova / The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, said on 2 October in Baku at the joint press-conference with the President of Croatia, Stjepan Mesic, that the countries of the Adriatic Sea may join the active energy dialogue which takes place between the countries of Black and Caspian Seas.

Azerbaijan is interested in this co-operation, Aliyev said. According to Stipe Mesich, Azerbaijan assumes an interest for Croatia as a country with the highest levels of economic growth. In addition, there are several fields in Croatia which is assumed as a field of interest for Azerbaijan. "We consider that the development of the economic ties should be the main issue of co-operations between Azerbaijan and Croatia," he said.

According to the President of Croatia, currently the economic co-operations between the two countries are not satisfactory and the bilateral agreements signed today will crease a legal base for the development of the relations.
