Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The amount of the Fund of Assistance to the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan increased by $3000 and by AZN 146.000.
The Fund totals AZN 3,317,000 and $75,198. By the beginning of July, AZN 3,171,000 and $72,189 was transferred to the Fund.
The Fund was established in 2002 according to a Presidential decree. The Fund assists in strengthening the material and technical base of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
The finances to the Fund are transferred by the State and private enterprises and organizations. The finances may be directed towards developing material and technical base of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, as well as carrying out scientific and search and constructor and testing works, purchasing military equipment, training military staffs, etc.
