Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr A. Gasymova / California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, congratulated Azerbaijanis on their national holiday -Independence Day, marked on 18 October.
"You enrich our nation - and especially our state - through your hard work, spirit of service, and wonderful blend of cultural traditions," Schwarzenegger said addressing the Azerbaijani community of the United States in his address publicized on 18 October. The Governor extended his gratitude to Azerbaijanis for their contributions to California's development and wished them every future success.
Besides Schwarzenegger, the Governors of Washington and Montana states congratulated Azerbaijanis on their national holiday.
