Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Ilhamgizi / MP Nasib Nasibli from Musavat, an opposition party, is likely to leave his party to protest Musavat's entrance to the European Liberal Democratic Reforms Party.

Isa Gambar, the leader of Musavat, participated in the meeting of this international organization, which was held in Germany on 18 October. Gambar voiced his intention to join this organization. On the basis of his appeal, Musavat became a full member of this European party.

Musavat is a nationalist party which adheres the national democratic ideology. Nasibli resigned from the Mejlis (Assembly) of Musavat to protest this party's joining to the "left" organization.

According to Nasibli, the ideology of Musavat differs from liberal reformers.

"Liberal values exist in basic principles of Musavat. Musavat was an only Azerbaijani party protected the nationalist and national democratic principles. That's why I resigned from the Assembly," Nasibli said.

In accordance with the Charter, appeal on resignation of the party members from election body should be accepted without discussion.

Nasibli did not exclude the possibility of its leaving from the party, but now he remains to be a member of Musavat.

The Azerbaijani oppositional party Musavat was established in 1992. Isa Gambar, the head of the party, was the speaker of the Parliament in 1992-1993 and candidate to the president during the 2003 presidential elections. The party has 5 MP's at the Parliament.
