Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / A new co-rapporteur of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on Azerbaijan may be appointed in November, Samad Seyyidov, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE, said in Baku on 22 October.
"The meeting of PACE Monitoring Committee will be held in Berlin in November. The issue concerning appointment of the new co-rapporteur will be discussed during the meeting. If the new co-rapporteur not to be appointed in November the issue will be resolved during the meeting of the Monitoring Committee in December," Seyyidov said.
Azerbaijan has been the member of the Council of Europe since 2001. Tony Lloyd, the former PACE co-rapporteur on Azerbaijan, resigned in October.
