Next meeting of the head of the state security organizations of the Interior Ministries of CIS member-countries will be held in Tbilisi in 2008, Kavkaz Press reported.
A relevant decision was adopted as a result of 7th meeting of the state security organizations and police of the CIS member-countries held in Yerevan, Armenia, on 22-24 October, Georgian Interior Ministry said.
The meeting focused on further development of mutual cooperation, as well as direct participation of state security service in the crime enforcing measures.
During the meetings special attention was paid to productive work of cinelogical services, which is of extreme importance in the border zones, customs places, as well as importance of mutual visits by specialists on this sphere and exchange of experience.
As a result of two-day discussions heads of services signed a relevant protocol on cooperation.
Head of state security organizations of 7 CIS member-countries, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Belarus, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, arrived in Armenia to attend the gathering.
