Azerbaijani Law Enforcement Bodies Launch Mass Investigation Operations

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseynli / Azerbaijani law enforcement bodies launched the mass investigation operations in the country in order to provide public security, Ehsan Zahidov, the official of the press-service at the Interior Minister, said to the Trend Agency.

Masked robbers attacked a Lukoil filling station located on Heydar Aliyev avenue in the Nizami District of Baku on the evening of 31 October. According to Office 23 of the Nizami District Police, the thieves seriously injured a worker at the station and stole a large sum of money. The suspects have not been identified yet, however the police are investigating the incident and search operations are being carried out to capture them.

A criminal case has been filed for contravening Articles 181 (robbery) and 228 (illegal possession of a weapon) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

The robbers stole AZN 2,800.

Employee of the filling station, Guliyev Samir Rasuloglu, was injured, he was taken to hospital.

This is the fourth such incident to take place in Azerbaijan in the past month, the second in Baku

A branch of Azerpocht in Ganja, as well as a branch of the 'Masalli' furniture producing plant in Ganja was recently attacked. The suspects have not yet been identified.
