Switzerland Eager to Open its Embassy in Azerbaijan soon: Chair of Parliament (video)

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I.Alizade / Switzerland wishes to open its embassy in Azerbaijan shortly, Christine Egerszege-Obristin, the chairman of the National Assembly (Lower House) of the Swiss Confederation, a said talks with journalists at the airport in Baku on 1 November. "We want to open our embassy in Azerbaijan and in future develop the bilateral relations. The key objective of the visit is to develop the bilateral relations," she said.

Egerszege-Obristin said that Azerbaijan and Switzerland have big natural reserves. They can exchange with natural resources. "In future it might give impetus to the development of bilay5ral relations," she stressed.

Egerszege-Obristin will be on a visit in Baku by 4 November. On 2 November, she will visit the grave of former Azerbaijan President Heydar Aliyev at the Cemetery of Honors, meet with the members of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, representatives of political parties and Chairman of Azerbaijan Parliament, Oktay Asadov.

In addition, Egerszege-Obristin is also expected to be received by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev

The Chairman of Swiss Parliament also plans to tour the Gobustan State Historical Reserve.
