Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / On 5 November, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received the delegation of the US Peace Corps led by its Director Ronald Tschetter at the Presidential Palace. Mr. Tschetter informed the President that within its visit to Azerbaijan, his delegation had traveled to Khachmaz, Siyazan and Shamakhy regions of the republic. He noted that he started his activities in Azerbaijan in 2003 through teaching English and now Peace Corps is engaged here in implementing economic development, small business and youth related programs. Mr. Tschetter also informed the Azerbaijani leader on his organization's future plans. President Ilham Aliyev appreciated the expansion of the Peace Corps activities in Azerbaijan. He expressed hope that the organization will continue its successful work in the country.
