Azerbaijani President to Pay his Second Visit to   France in 2007

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E.Huseynov / Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will pay an official visit to France on 19-20 November, Elmar Mammadyarov, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, told Trend.

Regarding the issues to be discussed in France, Mammadyarov said that both sides are preparing for the visit and developing an agenda and program. "We are still coordinating the agenda with France and it is too premature to say anything in this respect," he said.

The foreign minister said that the main priority of the visit would be a meeting with the French President Nicolas Sarkozy, to discuss a range of issues concerning bilateral relations, including the problem of how to resolve the Armenian -Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.

This trip will be the Azerbaijani President's second visit to France in 2007. Aliyev also paid a state visit to Paris on 29-31 January at the invitation of former French President Jacques Chirac.

France is one of the members of OSCE Minsk Group, which is involved in the peaceable resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
