Georgia, Tbilisi / Тrend corr N. Kirtskhalia / Georgia's ex-Defence Minister Irakli Okruashvili will obviously fail to come back to Tbilisi in order to take part in his trial, Okruashvili's attorney Eka Beseliya reported to Trend.
The trial involving Okruashvili was scheduled for 16 November. It is expected to take place at the city court.
"The hearing should be postponed in case Okruashvili fails to return from Germany," Beseliya said.
As for the bail of 10mln lari, if prosecutor aggravates Okruashvili's guilt, the money will be transferred to the public budget, the attorney said. The prosecution intends to accuse Okruashvili of legal perjury.
Okruashvili, who is presently visiting Germany, is accused of extortion, official negligence, money-laundering, and exceeding his power.
