Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Ramazanova / The Special Representative of the European Union (EU) in South Caucasus Pieter Semneby will pay a visit to Azerbaijan on 8 to 9 December, Semneby's office reported.
The visit program is being specified. According to initial program he will meet with the representatives of Azerbaijani NGOs and political parties.
An action plan on cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Program was signed in the autumn of 2006. EU signed the same agreements with Georgia and Armenia.
The action plan reflects several directions in bilateral cooperation, including settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, development of democratic institutions, and regional cooperation.
