Prime Minister of Azerbaijan to Attend Meeting of CIS Government Heads

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, Artur Rasizade, will attend a CIS Council of Government Heads meeting scheduled for 22 November in Ashgabat.

The meeting of Government Heads of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) envisages covering 29 project documents. Of them, 27 are ready for consideration without remarks, a source stated at the CIS Executive Committee. One of the more important issues of the meeting's agenda will be the project of convention on the status of working immigrants and members of their families in CIS participating countries.

The Government heads will also consider the key directions of civil aviation development and measures to increase security of flights in CIS member-countries.

In addition, the meeting will focus on the implementation of the plan for realization of important measures directed towards developing and raising efficiency of economic cooperation of CIS countries in 2003-2010.

Moreover, the Government Heads are thought to approve the Agreement on CIS Council for Inter-Regional and Border cooperation, Agreement on Harmonization of customs regulations regarding electricity transference via customs borders of CIS countries.

The Council of Government Heads will be submitted a report on the activity of CIS Council of Heads of Statistic Services.

The documents submitted for consideration of the CIS Government Heads will strengthen cooperation in education and finance.
