Set Date for Azerbaijani Communists Party’s Meeting

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / The wing of the Communists Party of Azerbaijan (CPA) chaired by Rauf Gurbanov will hold meeting at the second quarter of December.

The preparations for the 37th meeting of the party were held in thirty-six city and region departments of the party.

The conference will be completed by 1 December.

CPA's chairman Ramiz Ahmadov died in October. The contradictions occurred within the party after his death. As a result of the contradictions the party was divided into two parts. One part supports the Deputy Chairman Gurbanov, and the other part Rustam Shahsuvarov.

A new chairman, deputy chairman, members of the Central Committee and chairmen of CPA's commission are expected to be elected during the meeting.

The representatives of the International Communists Union, Russia, Ukraine and many other countries will attend at the meeting.

CPA was founded in 1903 before the Great October Social Revolution. The leaders of the first Communists Party were such a popular persons like Mashadi Azizbayov, Nariman Narimanov and others. The party was restored after collapse of the Soviet Union in 1993.
