Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr K. Ramazanova / The Chair of the OSCE suggested appointment of press officers to Azerbaijani police stations in order to make the work of journalists easier when they receive information from these bodies, the OSCE expert for police Andras Hugyik said in Baku on 3 December.

According to Hujik, in some cases information about investigations must be kept confidential, but sometimes police officers act groundlessly and that creates problems between the media and police.

In many countries the press officer service is available at police stations. The press officer always has contact with police officers and the media, he said.
