Azerbaijani  Parliament  Changes  Land Purchase Regulations

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr I. Alizadeh / The Azerbaijani Parliament changed the regulations on setting prices for purchase of the land owned by the citizens. For this purpose some changes were made in the Civil Code at the parliamentary meeting on 7 December.

According to the changes, in order to meet the needs of the Government during purchase of the land owned by the citizens, the prices will be set by a commission at the executive power. The commission will take into consideration real market prices.

According to the Azerbaijani Civil Code, up to day, in order to meet the governmental needs during land purchase, prices were established by owners and the executive power on the basis of mutual agreement.

According to the chair of the Azerbaijani permanent parliamentary commission for the policy of law and governmental formation MP Ali Huseynov, in case a citizen selling a lot of land does not agree on the price established by the commission, he may apply to court.

After receiving of the notification that the land was bought, the citizen should vacate the area between 90 and 180 days.

After discussions the Parliament passed the supplements and changes.
