Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Agayeva / The GUAM countries (Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova) intend to reinforce the struggle against terrorism, organized crime and drugs . A plan of measures has been developed for these purposes for 2008, stated GUAM's Secretariat.
The GUAM Task Group agreed the document on the struggle against terrorism, organized crimes and drugs by the Deputy Foreign Ministers of GUAM member-countries. A protocol for cooperation amongst GUAM member-countries was agreed. The parties also agreed the project Rules of Exchange of Information on Robbery, Illegal Drug Trafficking, and Trade Transport.
The function of the Task Group and its four sub-groups depends upon the implementation of two projects Framework Program of GUAM and United States and the Virtual Centre of GUAM on Struggle Against Terrorism, Organized Crimes and Drugs.
