Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on sacred Gurban Bayram, 19 December, AzerTAc reported.
Addressing the compatriots all over the world countries, the Head of Azerbaijan State noted that this holiday is remarkable with completion of the Islam as a religion and thus inviting the mankind to moral values, kindness and fair and true manner of life.
The Gurban Bayram (Eid Al-Adha) rituals are the symbol of moral-spiritual unity, solidarity and fraternity, humanism and mercy among the Moslems and these rituals embody their readiness for any sacrifice in the name of Almighty and good deeds, President Aliyev said.
The Head of the Azerbaijan State emphasized that in the independent Republic of Azerbaijan, where the democratic principles, religious faith and freedom of conscience have been established, the holy Gurban Bayram is celebrated annually at the state level. All observe this sacred day, pray for progress of country, welfare and tranquillity of the people. Immortal memoirs of the victims who fell for sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan are commemorated.
Joining all the goodwill prayers and intentions, the President expressed confidence that current celebration of Gurban Bayram will also become a triumph of national-spiritual solidarity of the nation, the feelings of compassion and sympathy in society.
