Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Ilhamgizi / Attended by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the ceremony of laying the foundation of the Square of the State Flag took place near the base of Military Marine Forces in Baku's district of Bayil on 30 December.
The square will be constructed by Azerenerji JSC. The author of the project, US Trident Support, will prepare and install the flag in the envisaged place.
According to Trident Support's President, David Chembers, the height of the flag will be 150 meters and its weight - 220 tons.
President of Azerbaijan expressed satisfaction with the place for the Square of the State.
