Iran’s Religious Leader Wants to Determine Country’s Foreign Policy: Iranian Politician

Patarkatsishvili Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend D.Khatinoglu / The statement of Iran's religious leader that the diplomatic relations between the USA and Iran may be re-established with his consent demonstrates that Tehran's foreign policy is being determined by the religious leader. " Iran's religious leader intends to directly determine the foreign policy of the Country," the Iranian politician, Alireza Nourizadeh, who functions in London, reported to Trend.

Iran's religious leader, Ali Хameni, stated during his meeting with the students of Yazd city that yet re-establishing the diplomatic relations between the USA and Iran is not in favor of Iran, IRNA reports. "I will myself confirm the diplomatic relations between the two countries when they yield positive relations," Хameni said. Nourizadeh reported by telephone from London that Хameni, as Iran's former religious leader Ruhоllaщ Хomeиni, wants to directly determine country's foreign policy. "Irrespective of the objections of the Iranian President, the former Chairman of the Security Council, Ali Larjani, visited Egypt. Formerly the ex-religious leader ordered to break off the diplomatic relations between Iran and Egypt. Хameni sent his advisor Larjani to Egypt to re-establish these relations. In addition, the ex-religious leader had ordered ceasing the relations between the USA and Iran and Хamenei stated that re-establishing these relations is indirectly linked with his decision. Thus, Хamenei stressed that the foreign policy of Iran is not in disposal of the Parliament, President and other forces, but is being determined by his diplomacy," Nourizadeh said adding that the relations between the USA and Iran can not be re-established. According to him, the policies of the USA and Iran in Middle East are contrary to each other.
