Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi/ The resigned chairman of the Azerbaijani National Independent Party (ANIP) Ayaz Rustamov does not intend to leave the Party and join another.
"ANIP needs me and I will never leave the Party," Rustamov said to Trend agency.
Rustamov submitted his resignation from the post of chairman at the end of 2007 due to health problems. The resignation statement will be considered at the meeting of the Political Council of Party.
ANIP was the first Party to be registered in Azerbaijan in 1992. Etibar Mammadov had been the founder and chairman of the party by 2004. Presently, Mammadov is the deputy chairman of the International Democratic Alliance.
