Increased Grants for Azerbaijani State Frontier Service from State Budget
Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 January / Trend corr. K.Zarbaliyeva / In 2007 the grants were increased by 88% for the State Frontier Service from the State budget, Elchin Guliyev, the head of the Service at the meeting, dedicated to the results of the Service for 2007.
According to Guliyev, the annual increase of grants to the Service will enable the strengthening of the financial-technical basis of the Service. "The new buildings have been constructed and strengthened the training in the military unit. The frontier posts, which are situated near the border, have been equipped with military and observer equipment. Modern and navigation equipment were installed in the frontier patrol vessels," Guliyev said.
The Service head reported of strengthening the military service, the creation of a rest centre at Sarhadchi and the Academy of State Frontier Service, the development of relations with the NATO and other international organizations and the purchase of new equipment in compliance with the program of specific state borders.
