Saakashvili Re-Elected as CEC Approves Final Vote Tally

The Georgian Central Election Commission approved the final results of the presidential elections on January 5 at its meeting on Sunday. In accordance with the final election results, the victory was carried by Mikhail Saakashvili, collecting 53.47 percent of the vote.

Candidate from the National Council of the Opposition (NC is a radical opposition) Levan Gachechiladze gained 25.69 percent of the electorate.
