Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Sandra Rulops, Michael Saakashvili's wife, while on a visit to Baku, met with the Georgian Diaspora on 13 January.
Rafael Gvaladze, the chairman of the Georgian Community in Azerbaijan, briefly told about the history and running of the Georgian Diaspora. Gvaladze noted that thanks to the tolerance of the Azerbaijani people and great attention of the State, the Georgian Diaspora does not face any serious problems. "Georgians have equal rights to Azerbaijani community members and take active participation in country life," he said.
Rulops was congratulated in connection to the re-election of Saakashvili to the presidential post and was presented with the book Story of Idealist published in different languages. The book is currently being translated into the Turkish language.
Rulop's visit to Baku is being implemented in line with the State Committee on Family, Woman and Child Problems of Azerbaijan.
