Azerbaijan, Baku, 22 January / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The Azerbaijani Yeni Zaman (New Time) opposition party will bring an action against the Justice Ministry.
"We have developed an appeal against the Justice Ministry due to their delay between the registration period and the submission of documents to the Yasamal District Court of Baku," Musa Agayev, the chairman of the party, stated to Trend.
According to Agayev, the documents were submitted to the Justice Ministry six months ago. However, the organization has not been registered as yet. Under the Ministry Charter, an appeal for registration must be considered for 35 days. The Ministry responded to the appeal that the document has been considered. "We have made appeals to the local and European Courts," Agayev stated.
Yeni Zaman was founded in July 2007. The party cannot take part at the upcoming presidential elections without being registered.
